Moving Sub
This piece takes a form that owes as much to the concert as to the performance based on a sub
constructed: DIDI. It stems from a personal and collective quest to experiment with low frequencies in the body and in space. The sound I produce comes from a no-input signal and a set of instruments or tools: my voice, a harmonica, a cymbal... To create variations in frequency and intensity. The whole set-up is on wheels: we move around the space We move around the space together, trying to bring people together, create new spaces and develop relationships with sound.
Bio
Involved in the noise and speedcore scene in Geneva and Berlin, Sett is particularly interested in the social and physical impact of low frequencies. She has carried out on the subject, which dealt with noise and free parties. This work led her to build her own subwoofer in 2023. She is continuing her research with a performance dedicated to this subwoofer. By taking it out of the party context with which it is usually associated, she experiments with it in other ways. Sett also produces live music combining no- input, speedcore and sampling, which she has played in Europe and Mexico. Today, she programmes and organises concerts in Geneva (at Lex Madone, l'Usine, l'Écurie, etc.) in alternative and/or self-managed venues that are close to her heart.
